Team Uganda update – Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010

At 9:18 p.m. Sunday night (7:20 a.m. Monday in Uganda) Terry called Sister Mary V with an update on the team’s progress.

They had all taken the day off on Sunday, saw the Nile, had some good food (”that was important”). Monday the men will be working on the new property. They have all the posts in and will be finishing the fencing, then will start the planting, and building the drip irrigation system. “It’s really important to get the land ready for the future.” The women are going to spend the day painting the inside of Tender Mercies.

Even though the group is busy with their respective assignments, they manage to spend time with the children. They stop by Tender Mercies in the morning and then again in the afternoon. The children are “so happy to see them…they’re very excited…it’s hard to put into words how much it means to them.” (Jean Jacques reports to her daughter in Billings that it is going to be so hard not to take Rachel, their little girl, back home with her!)

Finally, once again Terry spoke so highly of the team that is there…how great they are and how well they work together! He is so pleased and grateful! And grateful for “the team back home praying for them all!”
